About Us

We all have the same goal:

To help and uplift our Hispanic-Latino communities in Central Washington.

We have partnered with the Washington Department of Health to ensure that Hispanic-Latino communities are included when making health care decisions. We are working hard to give families easy ways to find health and community information.

“Together in Community” is a team that supports each other and wants the Hispanic-Latino community to have the same opportunities that everyone has to receive good health information and care.

No matter where we come from or what language we speak, we want to make it easier for families to get help, solve problems and be part of a community where we all thrive and learn together.

Our commitment

Our commitment as Together in Community is to close health equity gaps for Hispanic-Latino families in Yakima, Adams, Grant, and Kittitas counties. We understand that members of our community face unique challenges in accessing vital health information and services, especially in rural areas. Language barriers and cultural nuances can further complicate these challenges. Working closely with the Washington State Department of Health, our goal is to ensure that these barriers are effectively addressed, providing equal access to health resources for our local Hispanic-Latino families. Our strength is in the unity of community organizations, which strive to overcome health disparities through collaboration, understanding and action.

Our Goals

To strive for a future where every Hispanic-Latino individual and family in our communities has easy and equitable access to the health care information and resources they need. We envision a health-conscious, empowered, and informed community where health services are not only accessible but also culturally sensitive and responsive. We believe in a future where health care equity is not just an idea, but a lived reality. On our path toward this vision, we will work persistently to break down barriers, promote understanding and foster strong collaboration between health care providers and the communities they serve. Through our actions, we want to forge a future in which equal health care opportunity is not determined by language, culture, or location but is a basic right of all members of our community.
